The Bible tells us…
“Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.” – Ecc 7:8
Many times, we can begin to falter in our faith when it seems like it takes forever for God to answer our prayers and change our situations. Things may look hopeless and even impossible. There are times where it may look as if absolutely nothing good can come out of a situation. It’s easy to judge circumstances based on facts. However, as Believers we can look beyond facts because we have a ‘more sure’ Word of Prophecy.
“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts. “ – 2 Pet. 1:19
God is on our side and according to Rom 8:28…
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
The Bible tells us not to judge anything before it is time…
“Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.”- 1 Co 4:5
In moments of testing and trials, we are encouraged to dig in deep and allow patience to have her perfect work. These are times when we should follow King David’s example of rehearsing our past victories in Christ.
“And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:
And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.
Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.
David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.”- 1 Sa 17:34-37
We must not be passive as we wait on the manifestations of the promises to come to pass in our lives. We must walk a life where we find encouragement in God’s Word, his promises. Instead of crying “when Lord when?”, we must be assured God is on the scene and working ‘a work’ in us. These are times where our spiritual tap root must dig deep in order to find the Spring of Living Water.
“Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing ye unto it:
The princes digged the well, the nobles of the people digged it, by the direction of the lawgiver, with their staves. And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah:” – Num 21:17-18
Notice, the princes are the ones who dug the well. We are the ones who are to dig down deep into what appears to the dry ground of unanswered prayer and or impossible situations. As we praise and worship the Lord, we are digging down to find that Living Well of Water. This Living Water will rise up above the bare and dry ground and bring a barren land into an oasis of beauty, a land flowing with milk and honey.
“When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:
That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it. “ – Isa 41:17 -20
As we colloquially speak, “Chill Out”, let us take a ‘Chill Pill’ and allow God to finish the good work he has started in us. Take this ‘wait time’ to pray for others. Make a list of all the good things the Lord has done on your behalf. Determine in your heart to be a soul winner for the Lord. Let your light shine and stay focused on the promise. Stay focused on God’s Word.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” – Isa 55:8 -11
The end of this thing will be better…than its beginning.

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
According to the Scripture, Romans 8:28 says- “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” The questions is, how do all these things work out to our benefit? God is a “God that declares “The End” from “The Beginning”. However, we must understand that He is also a God of process. There is a process that takes from the beginning unto the end.
