Seedtime & Harvest

“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” – Genesis 8:22

It’s good to know God’s Spiritual Laws do not change.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:7-9

Knowing that whatsoever we sow, good, bad, or ugly, there will be a harvest of the same.  When we internalize the truth of this reality, it should cause us to think before we say or do things.  We are God’s children, made in His Image and Likeness.  God is on the inside of us.  The words we speak and the actions that we take will reap a harvest, good, bad or ugly.

Recently, I was reading about a brother singing duet that produced hit records back in the 60’s and 70’s.  Each time those records are played, there are royalties generated for the brothers. And when they pass on, their families will reap the benefits of their labor. I once heard a singer say one of his hit records brought him over $50,000 in repeat revenue each year.  One song sung and recorded can produce millions of dollars.  Now that is a phenomenal harvest! This is also Exponential Growth.  It is Growth that continues over time.

As I meditated on this, The Lord enlightened my spirit and showed me the same thing is true in the spiritual realm.  If God has called you to write a book, consider it as a seed sown.  Each time someone picks up that book and reads it, that original seed is deposited into the mind and spirit of the reader. That one seed has to potential to reach thousands. When we stop to consider that each person is a spiritual field, we begin to see God’s concepts taking root (Pun Intended).  Over time that one seed has the ability to multiply over and over again.  This results into a dynamite harvest.  This equates to Godly prosperity.

Recently, we asked members to donate towards renovating our church kitchen.  For those that sowed, those seeds were sown into a single field.  Every time someone enjoys the benefits of the kitchen, those that sowed can expect a Godly harvest.  Again, this is Exponential Growth.

Godly Prosperity is the result of putting the Law of ‘Seed Time and Harvest’ to work for you. Those that understand this Divine principle, will always look for opportunities to be a blessing and plant seeds accordingly.

Remember, ‘Seed Time and Harvest’ is a Kingdom principle.  When we follow the Laws of the Kingdom, we can always expect God to multiply and bless us.  God never intended for His children to be beggars or spiritually dry. God intended for us to live out of the harvest from the seeds that we sow.  With this in mind, we must be faithful in the area of our financial giving and actively look for ways to sow into the lives of others as God directs us.

When we are committed to faithfully serving in our church, whether it is teaching a class, ushering, and as God directs, we can expect a harvest, both financially and spiritually.   God is a debtor to no man. God will reward you.  Every seed sown will produce a harvest.

“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” – Heb 6:10

An Apostolic and Prophetic View of God’s Process for Personal Growth and Ministry

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

According to the Scripture, Romans 8:28 says- “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”  The questions is, how do all these things work out to our benefit? God is a “God that declares “The End” from “The Beginning”.  However, we must understand that He is also a God of process. There is a process that takes from the beginning unto the end.
