There are so many benefits belonging to the child of God who has made Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Our spiritual heritage is vast and encompasses everything that pertains to life and our well-being.
“seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.“ – 2 Pe 1:3 NASB
He has given us blessings that are perfect and truly add to us.
“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it”. – Pro 10:22
Notice this says The Blessing, not The Blessing(s). The Blessing is singular because within it contains everything good God has for us. It contains health, wealth, prosperity, long life, good family relationships, the list is endless. The Blessing & His Favor makes us rich in every area of our lives, and there is nothing to be sad about. God literally has every aspect of our lives covered. When we walk in The Blessing, we can be at rest and assured of the following.
“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” – 2 Co 1:20
All of God’s promises are in His Word. The more we study His Word, the more we find out what is available to us. There is peace and rest when you know what belongs to you.
Due to Abraham’s obedience and willingness to offer up his son Isaac for a sacrifice, God was able to pronounce a great reward upon him. We see this in the following scriptures;
“That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.” – Gen 22:17 – 18
Those who are in Christ are the seed of Abraham by faith. This scripture further states that the seed would possess the gate of his enemies. What does this really mean?
Though people and situations may arise against us, we must always remember that it is the true enemy is Satan, who is the author of confusion. He is our enemy, and he uses people (consciously or unconsciously) to come against the plans and purposes of God. We don’t fight against flesh and blood! But we understand the spirit in operation behind the faces and actions.
We must remember that we are the ones that have the right to possess the gate of enemies as given by God. Adam relinquished his authority in the Garden of Eden through an act of disobedience and Satan became the god of this world. The gate of the enemy opened to Satan as he took his authority over the earth and the people. We can call this the Earth Gate because this is the realm Satan has authority in. However, Jesus redeemed us back and gave us power and authority to possess this very gate.
“And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. “Luk 10:18 – 19
When we use the authority and power, God has given us, therein lies our victory.
“Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. “- Mat 18:18 – 20
To possess the gate (by taking authority over the works done in the earth realm by the enemy), we must open our mouth. We must use the weapons that God has given us and declare His Word in the Earth. We must declare that we are ‘binding’ the works of darkness. As believers, we have also have the authority to ‘loose’ Godly things. We have the authority to loose blessings into our lives by speaking His Word also. As we walk in by doing what God has said we will take control over everything evil force that may come against us.
Take note, that we are the ones who must do the ‘binding and the loosing.’ We are the ones who must walk in our spiritual authority. We are the ones who have been given the right and privilege to possess the gate of the enemy. God has done all he is going to do. The power and authority were transferred to us 2000 years ago when Jesus died on the Cross in the ultimate act of obedience. As we also act in obedience by being doers of the Word, we will take back any and all jurisdiction where the enemy has had access, and to those, he has used.
Make a decision today to stand in faith, be doers of the word of God! Realize that you are Blessed and Highly Favored. Decide to walk in the fullness of His Blessing with all of its rights and privileges!
