Biblical scholars refer to the book of Ephesians as the Crown of the Pauline writings. It reveals to us the many spiritual blessings, our Christian heritage in Christ. In chapters one and two of the KJV, the word “Hath,” which is a past tense of the word ‘have,’ lists fifteen verses describing glorious, preconceived things God had in store for his children from before the beginning of time. These blessings have always been available to us. However, each of us is faced with the choice of accepting what has already been set aside, in store for us just for the taking.
Scripture clearly points us to the fact that Salvation and The Promise of the Holy Spirit is a Gift from God. Man is the one who must take that gift.
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. ” – Rev 3:20
Once we make the quality decision to open the door of our heart, all that God has already put in place for us becomes available. Scripture is full of the promises and blessings ready for taking. The book of Ephesians is chocked full and ready for the taking.
When our son graduated from college, on the top of his cap, he had the following scripture inscribed on it.
“For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts, and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” – Jer 29:11
As you read Ephesians, the thoughts and plans that God has concerning us just begin to leap off the pages and shine like sparkling gems. Let’s look at some of these jewels that are ready for our taking. Let’s start in Chapter 1
“He hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places”- v3
“He hath chosen us in him before the foundation” – v 4
“Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself,” – v 5
“Wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.” – v 6
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” – v 7
“Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence” –; v 8
“Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:” – v9
“In whom also we have obtained an inheritance,” – v 11
“And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,” – v 22
Let’s continue to read in Ephesians, Chapter 2
“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;” – v 1
“Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” – v 5
“And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” – v 6
“For he is our peace, who hath made both one,” – v 14
“(He) hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity” –, v 15
In a nutshell, He gave us ALL spiritual blessings, picked us before time existed, per-ordained us to be adopted through Jesus Christ, made us accepted, forgave our sins, made wisdom available to us, informs us of His plans, gave us an inheritance, made us alive, gave us a seat in the heavens and gives us a close intimate relationship!
That is so awesome that words cannot fully describe the blessing and honor that He has bestowed upon us!!!
Let us begin to embrace and confess our spiritual heritage! Knowing that God has these thoughts in His mind concerning us should bring a smile to your face! Seeing the depth of His love towards us should cause your light to shine all the brighter!

An Apostolic and Prophetic View of God’s Process for Personal Growth and Ministry
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
According to the Scripture, Romans 8:28 says- “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” The questions is, how do all these things work out to our benefit? God is a “God that declares “The End” from “The Beginning”. However, we must understand that He is also a God of process. There is a process that takes from the beginning unto the end.
